Why The Party and Media Elites Don't Understand 'The Liberty Movement'

Writer Shirley Husar, in the 'Washington Times' Blogger community,  attempts to compare the Ron Paul 2012 campaign to a 'fad' using the 'Cabbage Patch Craze' of the 1980's as  a template to explain his popularity. Ms. Husar is making the same mistake that many are in dismissing the 'Liberty Movement' that Ron Paul is rallying around his campaign. Like many traditional pundits, politicos, media hacks and other slingers of bullpuckey, they attempt to filter what they cannot understand (or have poorly researched) through the lens of traditional campaigns that focus on sloganeering, pandering to special interests, pimping the candidate out for massive corporate donations, and relying on the 'cult of personality' to distract voters from the REAL campaign message (or lack thereof!).


You cannot judge the effects of the Ron Paul 2012 Campaign through the broken lens of past campaigns. Ron Paul may be the 'Focus' of the Liberty Campaign, but his nomination is surely not the end game. In many, many states, the local and state party apparatus is being taken over by Ron Paul Liberty Movement supporters. From Precinct Delegates on up to County, State and RNC posts, and from local races up to State and National Races, Liberty Movement Candidates are not looking at just 2012, but far beyond. Many state party elites have 'gamed' the system to prevent 'New' members- or even 'outsiders' within their own party- from having a short-term effect on their control over the party's political process. But they have failed to account for a DEDICATED and long-term strategy that not only is willing to put in the time and effort to work within the system, but also savvy enough to take advantage of the very rules supposedly put into place to keep them on the outside. This 'Liberty Movement' is not a one-off and done- it is merely a STARTING POINT, which has rallied many people WITHOUT the support of the Corporate Media, and against the best efforts of the Party Elites and insiders (or in spite of them!). These newly-awakened activists have also joined with many within the GOP who have been alienated and ostracized for many years due to their resentment towards the Big-Government Neo-Conservative direction the party has been pulled to (or bought and PAID to move to) for too long. 


This phenomenal growth in the Liberty Movement has been largely missed by the National Corporate Media for two major reasons. First, it doesn't fit into any of the neat little 'story-line' boxes that the infotainment-driven news-cycle feels it MUST portray EVERY public figure or movement within. If it doesn't focus on the 'Personality', any 'scandals', or bright, shiny glittering generalities of faux-'vision' statements, then the media does not know how to report on it, so it will either ignore it, or (if not possible to deny it) belittle and minimize it, or demonize it.  The second reason much of the Liberty Movement has been missed by the Corporate National Media, is that it's adherents and supporters have by and large IGNORED the Corporate Media, utilizing the 'alternative' media (which is less and less 'alternative' every day!), and rely on social media and direct peer-to-peer communications and media in order to organize, disseminate information, and promote ideas, candidates and gatherings. For many in the 'old' media, it is beyond their ken to imagine that large numbers of like-minded people who believe in the Constitution, INDIVIDUAL rights and the basic freedoms guaranteed under our Constitution are far, far greater than is portrayed or even talked about amongst the faux-cognoscenti in the mockingbird media. Many are so arrogant that they believe that if it is not reported by THEM, then it surely cannot exist!

Fortunately for the future of American Politics, and the future path to prosperity and freedom for our society as a whole, there exists outside of the Media/Corporate bubbles of DC, NYC and LA a true desire to end the corruption, corporatism and collectivist mind-rot though that has permeated BOTH wings of the Washington D.C. MONEY Party, as both Demopublicans AND Republicrats sell out to self-serving interests who put their own power, wealth and twisted idealism ahead of the best interests of the American people. Unfortunately for the Party Elites, as well as their Corporate Paymasters and their allies in the co-opted media, they are unable to understand the depth of resentment towards the Government/Corporate Status Quo. Nor can they cannot cognitively disassociate themselves from the dying Two-Party (One-Party?) Paradigm that has driven America to the brink of ruination and decline. Throughout American history, political parties and those who sought to control them for their own ends have seen once-mighty ruling classes' come swiftly crashing down under the massive weight of their fossilized, empty power structure.

Change is overtaking events in America, as information spreads like wildfire beyond the ability of the 'Old Media' gatekeepers to control it's flow. The 'Old' ideas of our Founders, enshrined in our Constitution, have become New once again, as more and more Americans wake up to the fact that there are those who would sacrifice our Lives, Liberties and ability to Pursue Personal Happiness merely in order to further their own power, wealth and position. The winds of Liberty are blowing through America once again, and are soon to be sweeping through the corridors of power, blowing awqay the detritus of failed policies, corrupt programs and empty promises. Those who cannot realize (or refuse to believe) in this sea-change in American politics will be left on the ash-heap of history, as events overtake them, and their illusions are shattered by a new paradigm- the Liberty Movement!

GOP Paradigm shift hits Michigan (And MN, NV, IA, ME, AK...)

A well-written article by writer Dawson Bell in 'The Detroit Free Press' on May 20th takes note of the subtle, yet radical change that is taking place in not only the Michigan Republican Party, but in the local, state and national Party as well. As in many other states, Michigan Republicans (and members of other, or 'no' Parties) are waking up to the Liberty Movement. Ron Paul is not a 'Figurehead' for a wing of the GOP, nor does he cultivate a 'cult of personality' as so many in the media (incorrectly) try to portray. The movement led (currently) by Ron Paul goes well beyond the ideas, ideals and proposals of one man, and it surely differs from all the other campaigns, where 'winning' in the short term supercedes all other priorities, including integrity and morality.


After this election, even if Ron Paul does not win (although he is STILL running- and doing much better than the Party or the media is willing to admit), the grassroots organization will continue to grow, as the dedicated adherents of the Liberty Movement continue to replace the old guard, whose failed and hollow 'ideals' have been finally revealed to be nothing more than a willingness to do anything to maintain power at any price. From Precinct Delegate to County Party positions to state and Federal offices, people of the Ron Paul ilk are organically taking over the GOP, and the party Elites are both clueless and powerless to stop it. 


People are finally waking up to the fact that, despite a slight (or radical) difference in rhetoric, a Big-Government Republicrat is no different in action from a Big-Government Demopublican. Activists in the Republican Party are now starting to replace those whose loyalties lie more with the REAL One-Party Ruling Washington DC- The MONEY Party! For too long Washington DC has been run less as the 'House of the People', and more as a 'House of Ill-Repute'. Or more like a Charnel house, where the carcass of American Liberty is carved up and sold by the pound to the highest bidder.


It's time to end the corruption, and not just saying you want to 'end the corruption'. Electing the same people over and over who tell you one thing and do another once elected is, to Paraphrase Albert Einstein 'The insanity of repeatedly doing the same thing yet expecting a different result'. The corrupt actions of the old guard fossil GOP neo-cons  both here in Michigan and across the country in using un-American tactics to get 'their ' candidate nominated by any means possible is appalling to many people, even some of those 'old guard' Republicans. Ballot stuffing, election fraud of multiple types, disregard of established party rules (especially by the same people who actually WROTE the rules!), 'disappearing' ballots, secret vote counts, illegal shutting down of conventions when the results don' 'come out right', assault and arrest of those who dare to question the unethical and illegal methods and actions of party leaders, the list goes on and on.


While many people don't realize or even believe that all of the above has occurred, that is probable because it is NOT being covered, and in many cases actively distorted, suppressed or censored by many in the national corporate media. But the New Media has blown the lid off of the lies and cover-ups of the old media. Live-streaming of conventions and news events on the web , the ability to watch local news reports and read media reports form other localities, and (especially) 'citizen reporters' who stand at the front lines and report the news that the National Corporate Media is either too afraid or bought-off not to report.


Ron Paul may win the Presidency. He may not. But the American People have won in this election, thanks to the Ron Paul Campaign. Not only has his run torn the mask off of the biased bought-and-paid for Presstitute class in the media, but it has also exposed the seamy underbelly of Republican (and, I'm sure Democrat) politics, where winning is everything, and integrity and morality are an afterthought, at best. But most important, Dr. Ron Paul has ignited the flame of Liberty and the desire to restore America to it's original ideals in the hearts and minds of millions of Americans- many of who had seen that light flicker and die many years ago through apathy and disgust for 'the system'. This election is NOT an end for this movement- it s the BIRTH of a new, and (strangely) old movement in American politics. Liberty is a relatively New Idea on the world stage, but it's appeal is deep, and it's ideals are infectious. And the numbers of it's adherents are growing rapidly in America!

The New Political Paradigm- Why The Media And Party Bosses are Missing it.

Recently, quite a few articles have appeared, speculating that Ron Paul 'really' wants is a 'speaking spot' at the Tampa GOP Convention, or that he 'really wants' to add delegates to 'influence the platform'. Some even suggest that what Ron Paul is really doing is 'paving the way' for his son Rand's political Future. Perhaps the latter has a grain of truth, but the reality is much bigger and more important than that.


The Platform? A 'speaking slot'- Hardly... As a grass-roots organizer, I can assure you that the strategy of the Ron Paul Campaign goes FAR beyond these small goals, and even beyond the 2012 Campaign altogether. A few political observers, like US NEWS' Kenneth T. Walsh actually are getting close to the REAL truth-= but they are few and far between, and are usually ignored, buried or scoffed at- just as the Ron Paul Campaign has been! What the savvy (but growing) few HAVE noticed is that, just as Ronald Reagan did after the 1976 election, Ron Paul is remaking the Republican Party in a Liberty and Constitution-oriented image. While most of the media focuses on the small minority of aberrant members in the Paul campaign who act out of turn (and there are even less of those in the Paul ranks than in most other campaigns), the vast majority of dedicated, motivated and educated Paul supporters are busy getting themselves and others elected to everything from Precinct Delegates to slots on the Republican National Committee.

The Romney Campaign merely signifies the last dying gasp of the 'Old' GOP- ruled by a coalition of Neo-Con Big Government Progressives and Right-Wing Evangelical Ideologues. The rapidly diminishing level of support for these two factions in the Party at large is evidenced by the failure of these groups to 'turn out the vote' for Romney in state after state- as well as by the ease with which Ron Paul supporters are driving out the old leadership in state after state, even as the 'Old Guard' uses every underhanded trick and back-room tactic to try to cling to the last vestiges of party power. The growing numbers and momentum are now favoring the rise of  the Liberty-Minded wing of the GOP. Perhaps not enough to overcome the huge Media Bias and the entrenched old money currently attempting to retain the grasp on power in the GOP, but this mass movement of Young newcomers, once-active Republicans who were alienated by the Party Leadership, and disaffected Independents and even *GASP* DEMOCRATS are now on the ascent- and by the next election cycle will probably be the largest segment- if not the dominant one- in the new Republican Party.

The utter failure of the National Corporate Media to accurately report this story (If reporting on it at all) has only backfired on hem, as it has only served to drive even more curious outsiders and previously disaffected Republicans to consider this new movement, as (for a large segment of the American Public), anything the Mass Media either distrusts, denigrates or ignores must be at least somewhat worthwhile to look into! The dissatisfaction in both the electorate and the Public at large is both real and palpable. While those in the agenda-driven media seek to channel or control this distrust for their own aims (or the aims of their paymasters!), their obvious and consistent bias has merely served to reinforce the perception in the public that not only are most media outlets bereft of any redeeming journalistic qualities, but that the vast majority of the media is so in the pocket of special interests as to have rendered themselves virtual propaganda arms of those same special interests. Fewer and fewer are falling for the false 'Left/Right' paradigm, as they see little difference (other than rhetorically) between those big-government 'left-wing' progressives,  and the big-government 'right-wing' progressives. Further attempts to divide Americans along racial, social, economic and ethnic lines is similarly losing it's power to influence, except among those who will be malleable and subservient no matter who is 'in charge'.

A full paradigm shift in American politics is taking place, and while those in power and their lackeys in the captured media seek to either foolishly deny it, or actively fight the overwhelming tides of inevitable change, the American people are ready, willing and able to embrace (at Last) a REAL movement whose aims are to restore the republic, root out big-government corruption and waste, and return the control of the levers of power to the people- instead of those who have bought and paid for access, control and the ultimate monopoly on power for far too many years.

Ron Paul's Presidential Campaign, unlike any we have seen in years, is not an end unto itself. It is merely a marker, an important way-station for a growing Liberty movement to rally around and use as fuel for growth and expansion. From 1976 to well into the 1980 campaign, professional pundits, entrenched party bosses and those political insiders 'in the know' all said that Ronald Reagan was a 'lool'- a 'fringe' guy who was out of touch and would fade away. Perhaps they should have listened to ol' Ronnie, as they slowly started to see first the grassroots, then the local, state and finally the national Republican Party give way to the growing tide of the Reagan Revolution. It started at the grass roots, just as the Liberty Movement has done. Now we are seeing the Reagan Revolution being repeated, as local and state party officers and elected officials are being replaced ever more rapidly by those favorable to, or leading the Liberty Movement. 

Maybe that's why the RNC Leadership appears to be scared... VERY scared of the rapid advances the Ron Paul Campaign has fostered within the Party. As well they should be!

Common Sense Meets the COmmon Enemy of all Americans!

Common Sense met the Common Enemy of the People today, as Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee returned to Washington for his semi-annual grilling of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. After an opening statement that was a lengthy dissemblance of the entire Federal Reserve system, Dr. Paul proceeded to illustrate both the simplicity and the magnitude of the destructiveness of Mr. Bernanke's Quasi-Federal Fiefdom.With just a Silver Piece as an illustrative example, Dr. Paul thoroughly and simply destroyed any credibility that Bernanke could ever hope to achieve with all his pious pronouncements, obfuscating efforts at statistical explanation, and further attempts at justifying what can only be described as unmitigated failure. 


Showing an ounce of silver to Bernanke, then plainly stating that this same silver piece that bought four gallons of gasoline in 2006, now can purchase over 11 gallons, Dr. Paul laid waste to Bernanke's claims of supposedly maintaining low inflation. The Silver has not gained over 50% in INTRINSIC value over the last six years- it is a stable commodity, and it's worth remains unchanged. What HAS changed is silver's (and every other commodity's) relative worth vis-a-vis the DOLLAR- which has effectively LOST over 50% of it's value in relation to Silver- and every other tangible commodity (like food, oil, etc.)-  that has intrinsic, inherent worth. 


Unlike commodities, the only thing 'inherent' in the Dollar is it's relative worthlessness! Every Dollar's worth is invested solely in the trust that people using it have in the good faith of those issuing it. When those issuers of the FIAT Dollar (the PRIVATELY OWNED Federal Reserve) take our trust and squander it in a profligate manner by rewarding inefficient, corrupt and failing International Banking enterprises with first use of TRILLIONS of Freshly created dollars at little or NO interest, they are using inflationary tactics to steal from each and every person who is FORCED to use their ever more worthless paper. Without any alternative currency that has REAL worth (Like Constitutionally-Mandated Gold and Silver), Americans are forced to treat the Dollar as if it had any intrinsic value- allowing the Federal Reserve and it's Member Banks to steal from everyone using Dollars by driving up prices and costs, and (in real terms) devaluing the amount every person earns in their paycheck!  Meanwhile, the (not-so) borderline criminal enterprises that are Member Banks (The OWNERS) of the Fed are rewarded for their incompetence, corruption and outright theft with TRILLIONS in FREE MONEY provided by the Federal Reserve,-Most times in secret, and with absolutely NO Federal Government oversight! EVERY dollar that is 'created' by the Federal Reserve and 'issued' (given) to it's Members and associated entities reduces the value of every dollar in circulation EVERY time! And they have been doing A LOT of 'issuing' lately- Wall Street, Foreign Banks, The Mortgage Markets in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and on and on and on! 


If ANYONE operated this way in the private sector (other than the PRIVaTELY OWNED Federal Reserve!), then they would be investigated, indicted, tried, fined and jailed for high crimes against the American People. But since the tentacles of the Member Fed Banks reach into ALL sectors of the economy, media and the government, there is virtually no real criticism in or investigation into their corrupt massive counterfeiting scheme! The largest Corporations that aren't directly involved in this global swindle are either forced to stay silent through regulatory and economic intimidation (and Trillions of dollars can buy a LOT of that- especially if you can print them at will!), or else they are 'coerced' by being rewarded with receiving THEIR share of crumbs from the Fed's debauched economic banquet table. While the Corporate Media and the and the cowed/corrupted corporations stay silent, Congress has abdicated it's Constitutionally-mandated regulatory authority over the U.S. Currency by un-Constitutionally giving regulatory authority over the Federal Reserve, through the Dodd-Frank Act- over the The PRIVATE Federal Reserve itself! This is not only putting the 'Fox In Charge Of the Chicken Coop'- it is tantamount to seizing the farm, signing it over to the Fox, and installing the Fox's relatives as Sheriff, County Commissioner and Farm Bureau Chief!


Through their actions (or lack thereof), Congress, the Executive Branch and the PRIVATELY OWNED Federal Reserve Bank demonstrate that they not only do not deserve ANYONE's trust, but with the massive amount of contempt they show by their capricious actions to the American People, they should be stripped of any and all economic decision-making powers immediately and completely- lest our Dollar and our entire Economy free fall into a Weimar/Zimbabwe-like abyss!


Speaking in plain terms, we find ourselves in a situation now where it is as if a Counterfeiter knows the authorities are closing in on his operation, and it's only a matter of time before his scheme collapses. He then proceeds to run his funny money presses at full tilt, flooding the market with increasingly useless paper, in the hopes of squeezing every last bit of worth out of his ill-gotten enterprise before it all collapses under it's own weight.


The Federal Reserve is essentially the largest counterfeiting enterprise in the history of the world. Over the last 99 years- but accelerating exponentially over the last 5- The Fed has committed the greatest robbery in the history of mankind. The Federal Reserve accomplishes this massive transfer of Wealth from the Poor and Middle-Income people by the massive devaluation (issuance) of 'new' currency, where every dollar is worth that much less, buys that much fewer goods and services, and continues to depreciate in value at an ever increasing rate with every 'new' Dollar that the Fed creates.


Rep. Paul was right to ask Chairman Bernanke today in his final question whether he purchased his own groceries. In the rarified circles that International Banksters like Bernanke inhabit, these self-appointed elites have no connection to the average American's life, and no clue as to what the REAL effects of the Fed's intentional inflating of the Money Supply are on every working American. For people like Bernanke, inflation is just a figure used to calculate a statistic, which in turn is used to justify destructive (yet, for them VERY profitable!) economic policies such as Bailing out, subsidizing and just plain ENRICHING the incestuous circle of Bankster Billionaires who make up the Federal Reserve System, and indeed the entire International Bankster Community. 


This is in stark contrast to the daily experience of the average American, where inflation is having to make the choice whether to buy food for his children, or gasoline to drive to work to earn an ever-diminishing paycheck. Inflation for the millions of elderly and disabled in America means having to make do with even less and less, as the small pittance that they receive shrinks in REAL value, as prices for essentials like Food, Shelter, Energy and transportation climb further and further out of reach. Ben Bernanke buys his own groceries? I seriously doubt you will see 'Helicopter Ben' or his Billionaire Bankster associates struggling to make the grocery tab in line at your local Piggly Wiggly or Kroger. 


It is time for REAL change in America. It is time to pull the mask off of the International Bankster criminals who are destroying the American way of life by enriching themselves at the expense of every American. These Fiat Counterfeiters and Big Fast-Change artists have thrown millions out of work, out of their homes, and out of any chance of achieving even part of what once was 'The American Dream'- all in the name of 'saving the economy'. The only things 'saved', in reality, are the corrupt and totally mis-managed Banking institutions that should have been the FIRST entities to be declared bankrupt, liquidated and allowed to be re-absorbed into a recovering economy. Instead, the worst of the worst in this den of Pin-Striped thieves were actually REWARDED for their unethical, ill-conceived and borderline (or not-so borderline) illegal economic malfeasance. 


Meanwhile, back at the combination Charnel House/Political Prostitution Racket that our Congress and Executive Branch have become, Democrats and Republicans- (or should I say 'Republicrats and Demopublicans', since there is little substantive difference between the two wings of the Corrupt D.C. MONEY PARTY) take turns every four or eight years pretending there is a 'real change' whenever one or the other side of the One-Party Big-Government Duopoly 'hands over power'. In reality, the names, faces and rhetoric are the only things that 'change' in Washington. Big Spending, massive debt increases and corrupt political paybacks using TAXPAYER money continue unabated no matter which 'side' is running the corrupt Washington Money mill. They always somehow find their way to a multi-thousand page 'Compromise' Spending Bill that somehow always manages to contain the worst excesses of both 'sides'! The only thing REALLY compromised in Washington these days are ethics, the Law, and the integrity of the American Economic system.


The truth is out there in plain sight for all Americans to see. The perpetrators of this economic fraud are so confident in their complete hoodwinking of the American Public, that they don't even try very hard to hide their criminal enterprise anymore! They used to count on Americans being distracted by 'Bread And Circuses' as the Romans used to say, so that they could continue looting the National Treasury with objection from those being looted- The American People!  But now that their house of Fiat Dollar Cards is now collapsing, the international Banksters and their Government Bureaucrat cronies are resorting to the oldest trick in the books- FEAR! If you don't let us continue to pump trillions into our friends and cronies' coffers, then- my God- THE ECONOMY MAY COLLAPSE!!! 


Excuse me, but aren't the same actions the Fed says will take to 'save' the economy the VERY SAME bad ideas that CAUSED most of our fiscal problems in the first place? Naaaaaaah- Just ignore that man behind the curtain! You know, the one you see looting your pension, stealing the value of your house, deflating your paycheck and draining your wallet every time you turn around! He's really doing that for your own GOOD, don't you know!


Americans right now have to ask themselves some very hard questions; Does your paycheck go as far as it did ten years ago, five years ago, or (in the case of Gas prices) earlier this morning? Does your pension still offer you the same security as you thought it would when you first started working- if you even HAVE a pension left! Does your house offer you the same  financial security that it once promised (if you still even HAVE a house!), or do you feel you are merely 'renting it' from the bank, the Government- or both? Do you honestly trust those in Washington D.C. to look out for your better interests- or for the interests of those who finance their campaigns, enrich them through sweetheart deals, and offer them the promise of riches and power once they pass through the revolving door between Congress, K-Street and Big Business?


One more question... Who are you going to believe to tell you the real, unvarnished truth about the plight we now find ourselves enmeshed in. Those in the Media, politics and Big International Business who have a vested interest in you believing tier lies? Or the One Man who is unafraid to stand up and tell the truth to Americans- even at the expense of being slandered, vilified, and belittled- even though (or perhaps ESPECIALLY because) he is telling the hard truths Americans don't want to hear, but NEED to hear?


The Media and the Party Elites are confused and afraid of Ron Paul because they don't understand a Presidential Candidate who isn't trying to pump up his ego, enrich his friends, or curry favor with an entrenched establishment. He just truly loves his country, understands it's problems, and wants to fix those problems before they become too massive to BE fixed in a rational and safe manner. We don't need a new face on the same old problems this election cycle. We have tried that failed approach over and over again for too long- electing the 'lesser of two evils- and we've ended up deeper and more entrenched in this economic morass. It is now past time to educate ourselves as Americans and elect a President who will do the right things for America.


Dr. Paul understands there is a Cancer in the Body of American society. His opponents want to treat that cancer by continuing the policies that CAUSED the chronic sickness in the first place! As a Doctor, Ron Paul understands that when you are dealing with a deadly disease, you need to aggressively use hard medicine in a timely manner, even if it causes short-term pain. You don't use nice-looking Band-aids and perfume to treat a serious ailment- yo need to have the CORRECT diagnosis, and prescribe the STRONGEST medicine! That is the ONLY way to revive and restore a healthy and strong America which we will be proud to turn over to future generations

Election Fraud (NOT 'Voter Fraud) Threatens To Throw The GOP Into Total Disarray

Willard 'Mitt' Romney is the choice of the Republican Party Elites. That much has been made plainly obvious by this point in the election cycle of 2012. But they now have a BIG problem- yet they don't even appear to know it, or at least how to deal with it. The Grand Pooh-Bahs of the Grand Old Party have become so out of touch with their own party base and grass roots that they are resorting to blatant Election (NOT 'Voter') fraud in order to get him nominated- but even THAT isn't working! 


Iowa was a total electoral freak show, with votes being counted 'in secret' by an Israeli-based company called ELRON VOXEO  in another state. New Hampshire voters watched as the captured media ignored state vote totals that varied- sometimes significantly- from actual counts at the caucus sites, and as 'dead people' voted . More dead people voted in South Carolina than every election in memory- with the possible exception of EVERY Chicago vote! Nevada took 2 hours to count 2/3 of it's vote, then another TWO DAYS to 'count' the last third- with more shenanigans going on than a Visit from the 'Boss' at a Myer Lansky-run casino. Not surprising since they hired the SAME GUYS as Iowa did to run their Caucuses! Now the Nevada Chairman of the State GOP has resigned over the whole mess(not to mention the heads of the Iowa GOP and the Minnesota State GOP)! And Maine... Maine... The GOP head Calling the race with only 84% of the vote in, and His boy Mitt leading by only 194 votes- then basically disenfranchising (or trying to) the remaining voters by telling them they can still vote 'but their votes won't be counted'. Not to mention the 9 counties that DID vote- but 'mysteriously had their 'official totals' totals listed as 'zero' for EVERY candidate! And several Maine caucus chairmen who called in their votes- only to see the totals on the 'official' GOP tote board slightly or vastly different. Guess who in favor of! Now the Maine GOP leadership is in total disarray, and changes it's position on whether the votes will or will not be counted almost hourly!


The last time a party self-destructed this totally and rapidly was in the election of 1856. The Whig Party was dominant in the country for over 20 years, but lost touch with their base, their grass roots supporters, and the country as a whole. They nominated a slate of candidates across the board that NO ONE in their base wanted, and pushed hard against their OWN SUPPORTERS to get them elected. By the next Presidential election, the Whig party was no more... It had been replaced by an upstart party with a tall, lanky frontier lawyer with a penchant for speechifyin' and wrestling. You may have heard of them- the 'Republican Party'!


Will History repeat itself in this cycle, as three of the four candidates are so divisive and have so many flaws, while the one candidate who appeals to conservatives, moderates, independents and even DEMOCRATS for God's sake is being first ignored, then attacked, then the party doesn't know what to do as his supporters rack up delegate slots and quietly elect his supporters into state leadership positions- many times as current leaders resign in shame over the primary and caucus debacles!


Many GOP Party leaders and tier minions in the presstitute corps continue to act as if Ron Paul is the 'crazy uncle' at their party- embarrassed by his rough honesty and unsure of exactly how to deal with him. But Dr. Paul IS crazy- like a FOX! His strategy is lifted from the  1976-1980 campaign of one Ronald W. Reagan. Ronnie was disrespected by the party elites in the 1976 election for his 'crazy' libertarian-leaning ideas like a balanced budget and smaller government. After Ford got creamed by the Peanut man, they wrote him off. Meanwhile, Reagan worked the grassroots of the party, slowly but surely taking over first local, then state party apparatuses. By the time the 1980 election came around, the GOP Elites and the Media w#0res were still laughing at him, even through the first few states where he didn't stand out. But Ronnie got the last laugh and won in a landslide.


They don't seem to be laughing as hard at Ron Paul right now. They're even trying the already failed policy of ignoring him. But lets see who has the last laugh at the convention!

'FOX Latino' Tells Hispanics How to Think About Ron Paul!

'Divide and Conquer'. The Establishment Media (FOX included) at the direction of the Political/Corporate Heirarchy continues to push this meme that we are all 'compartmentalized Americans'- Black, White. rich, poor, and most pointedly, 'Latino'. A recent 'FOX News Latino' article  attempts to 'find out' where 'Latino' voters stand on Ron Paul (or more pointedly, tell them WHAT to THINK about Ron Paul!). This tired establishment media theme is strung out in typically condescending fashion. They pick an 'issue', then use one or two quotes to support their limited and biased assertions about 'How on Paul affects Latinos'. As usual, they discount or attempt to downplay the fact that there are basic things that UNITE all Americans, and those far outweigh the issues that divide us. However, divisiveness is a very strong control mechanism that prevents people from realizing the ideas and ideals that would otherwise unite them, instead focusing on what are often side issues that tend to divide and separate us from the REAL issues that we as Americans should be concentrating on.


As for the whole 'Latino' argument, like with any 'analysis' of the 'feelings' of a specific ethnic, religious or other 'minority' group,  I find it wholly demeaning and insulting to impose a monolithic belief and value system upon an entire community, especially one as diverse and varied as those who derive ancestry from many different cultures within the 'Latin' universe. Even within distinct ethnic communities, such as Mexican, Cuban and Venezuelan, there is such a diversity of opinion and belief as to make any simplistic overall judgement about a 'group opinion' both supercilious and recklessly illogical. But to do so tends to not only serve to ;herd' those group thinkers in the target 'community' toward the desired monolithic attitudes or beliefs, but it also reinforces sterotypes and simplistic assumptions about that group within the general population of Americans- which serves the purpose to separate them from the general population in order to either 'demonize' them or 'elevate' them- depending on what political or social effect those doing the manipulating desire!


Ron Paul rejects out-of-hand these divisive and destructive attempts at manipulation of people and opinion, and instead he tries to cut through all this very simply- but concurrently at a deep philosophical level that gets to the heart of what it means to have Rights in this country. 'Groups' do NOT have inherent, implicit or explicit rights and 'opinions'. Anyone who purports this idea is either collectively deluded, or deliberately pushing an agenda that often times is at odds with the best interests of both the majority who ostensibly 'belong' to said group, as well as the majority of individuals within society as a whole. Ron Paul believes in what the United States Constitution and our Founders believed: that ALL rights are individual rights, and our freedoms and liberties flow directly from the protection and maintenance of those INDIVIDUAL rights. This universality of the rights of the individual is in direct opposition to wholly manufactured 'collectivist' rights for groups, which ALWAYS will tend to stifle, trample and ultimately destroy the rights of the individual, to the benefit of the powers of those that control and direct the collective.


Protecting the rights of the individual should be paramount in American society, as any diversion from or destruction of these rights negates any other rights, liberties and freedoms we may have. Those that seek to obtain or seize rights for 'groups', no matter how well-intentioned, will end up securing those pseudo-'rights' at the expense of every individual, and ultimately do nothing to secure rights for the individuals who belong to those 'groups'. Instead, what most often happens is the rights of the individuals in those groups are become subservient to the power of the group itself- subjugating any rights of each individual to the will and power of the collective (usually determined by an elite and well-connected 'leadership'). 


Our rights are not GIVEN to us by our government, our leaders, or even our Constitution. They are RECOGNIZED by the Constitution as INHERENT- a birthright that cannot be subject to interpretation or dispensation by any man, woman or group of men and women. Those seeking to control our lives through the imposition of 'group rights', no matter how well-intentioned or altruistically bent, ultimately serve the master of tyranny and subjugation. Resist attempts to 'box you in' to any collectivist thinking. Advocate, fight and defend your inherent individual rights. Protect the COnstitutionally-guaranteed Liberties and Freedoms from those who would attempt to separate you from your fellow Americans by Race, Creed, Color or any other groupthink mentality.

Iran, Ron Paul, and What's REALLY the Cause of the 'Crisis'.

Much is being written about what is snarkily referred to in the media as Presidential Candidate Ron Paul's 'dangerous' foreign policy. Most are using the current 'bad actor' on the World stage, Iran, as their favorite sounding board to misrepresent, then knock down the 'Straw Man' creation that they unfairly allege represents Ron Paul's foreign policy. Most times, they fail to interview or even QUOTE Ron Paul or his campaign, then proceed to present a near-total fabrication as if even remotely resembled Ron Paul's ACTUAL Foreign Policy! We are told that 'Iran wants to attack the U.S. (and, of course, Israel), and closing the Strait of Hormuz is an 'Aggressive' and 'antagonizing' act of defiance (and of course, that Ron Paul would 'do nothing'). While the policies and tactics of the Iranian Regime are despicable in so many ways As are many of the regimes in the Middle East- many of them our 'close allies!), when you strip away the domestic American political rhetoric from this story, and examine it purely from a geopolitical, diplomatic and strategic viewpoint, an entirely different story emerges.


In most accounts of this situation in the American Mainstream Media, you consistently seem to only hear the standard political talking points about 'Iranian Aggression', most always calling it 'unprovoked'. But what they intentionally (or incompetently) always forget to mention is the most important geopolitical action that has precipitated this whole 'Strait of Hormuz' incident. This entire 'confrontation' in the Strait of Hormuz has been spurred primarily by one event: The European Union, backed by the United States, has threatened a 'Death Penalty' sanction on the Iranian Central Bank (as part of the Massive National Defense Authorization Act or NDAA) in response to it's Nuclear Program'. Even Conservative Republican sites like www.gopusa.com agree with Ron Paul's view on the nature of this crisis, and how dangerous it is for the US to engage in economic and military brinksmanship like this. By taking this serious economic action, the US and it's allies will effectively shut down Iran's ability to not only sell oil, but will effectively make it impossible for Iran to maintain ANY banking relationships on the world markets- precipitously collapsing the Iranian Economy, and forcing their hand militarily. Threatened with this economically unacceptable possibility, most informed observers find that Iran has responded in a predictable and wholly understandable (and economically balanced) manner to this overt (let's put it bluntly) act of Economic War. In essence, the Iranian Regime said that if The West cuts off their ability to sell oil, they will respond in like kind by shutting off the straits of Hormuz, so NO ONE can sell oil from the Gulf. SO this 'confrontation can actually be seen as a DEFENSIVE measure in response to the overtly aggressive economic threats made by the U.S. and it's European allies.

Strip away the emotionalist sabre-rattling and American Political manipulation of this story, and you can boil it down to cold-hard geopolitical and economic facts, backed by predictable diplomatic and military strategies and outcomes. Unfortunately, most in the press are pliantly following the Propaganda lead of the Establishment War-Monger/Profiteers and are using their fear-tactic talking points to demagogue this story in an unfairly manipulative and emotional way in order to further THEIR interests- which are at odds with the interests and safety of the American People, who oppose unnecessary and dangerous wars of aggression. Many Americans are listening to Ron Paul, who accurately points out that these Unconstitutional, undeclared wars and 'conflicts' benefit not the American People, but instead those like the manipulative Internationalist Banksters and the War-Profiteering Military/Industrial Complex.  These people and entities- and NOT the American People- are the ONLY ones who benefit from War, the Instability and distortion of markets and economies, and the pre-emptive use of force to insure that their interests are pre-eminent, if not moral or even lawful. 




In the coming days and months, Americans are being asked to answer one question: Are you going to believe the demagogues running for the GOP nomination who use emotion-heavy and fact-light arguments like 'they hate us because we're free' and other simplistic bumper-sticker Foreign Policy statements designed to inflame emotions and obscure or stifle rational debate? The ones who viciously and personally attack ONE other candidate by misrepresenting his ACTUAL policies and positions? Or are you going to LISTEN to Ron Paul, who looks at foreign policy as a STATESMAN, refuses to engage in personal attacks, but instead forcefully highlights policy differences and factual differences between himself and his GOP opponents, and (in the specific case of the 'Iranian' situation, as with all foreign policy decisions) would, coolly and rationally taking into account all the underlying facts and motivations of ALL the players, then making an assessment based on NOT not what's best to advance his own political future, but instead what's best for AMERICA'S future? 


Just make sure you make an INFORMED decision. Ron Paul ALWAYS does.

Media 'Acknowledge' Ron Paul IS a 'Contender'

A story by Peter Wallsten in today's Washington Post comes with the headline: 'Ron Paul becoming serious contender in Republican presidential race' Shouldn't the headline read: 'Media and Party Elites FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGE that Ron Paul Is A Serious Contender'? The Washington Post and the rest of the media are  apparently finally catching up to what is happening outside of the media and political bubbles in NY and DC! The grass roots support has ALWAYS been there for Ron Paul, but the media and the Party Bosses have been suppressing this information, along with any mention of Dr. Paul himself. Through selectively worded and carefully sampled polls (many of which are STILL being foisted on the public as 'scientific'- though their accuracy and methodology is dubious at best), Ron Paul's ACTUAL support among the American electorate has been minimized and disregarded- even to the point where, when he breaks through even the most biased polls, the media either simply omits him, or else ignores it's OWN data- instead perplexingly talking about those finishing just above and even BELOW him! 
 
Since it has now become impossible to ignore Ron Paul and his obviously growing support, and the tactic of dismissing him and his supporters through condescendingly snarky reporting has backfired, the media and GOP knives have been sharpened, and the REAL attacks have begun. Phony racist charges from 20+ years ago that have been thoroughly and publicly disproven and debunked time and time again seem to be the only 'dirt' that the yellow journalist mafia can dig up about the good Doctor. But that isn't stopping them from attacking, as many articles making outrageously unprovable or easily disproven charges are now floating around in the media like scum rising to the top of a fetid pond.  
 
Unfortunately for Ron Paul's detractors, since there isn't any REAL evidence, and since the public's regard of the Media's integrity hovers somewhere between Congress' and Serial Killers', the false charges and accusations are actually ADDING to Ron Paul's strength, as most people who are undecided read or see these scurrilous accusations and say: 'If the media and the Party Establishment hate this guy THAT much, I need to find out more about him!'. That inevitably leads to a sort of revelation of the fact that most of the media is either clueless about, incorrect on, or  shamelessly actively working against Ron Paul. 
 
Ron Paul is doing all Americans a great service, whether they like him or Hate him, as his campaign has exposed (and continues to expose) the hypocrites, liars, sell-outs and the clueless in both the media and in the Political Arena. Among those who are not actually consciously attacking him, it seems that many are truly confused and bewildered by Ron Paul. Maybe they don't know how to respond to a public figure that; tells the truth, even when people don't want to hear it; is consistent on (and actually HAS) his principles, and remains so after 30 years in public life; doesn't seek power for power's sake- even to the point of campaigning to DIMINISH the power of the Presidency and the Federal Government in general; and (most importantly) actually UNDERSTANDS the vital issues of our time, being able to expound at length on ANY subject without benefit of a teleprompter; talking points, 'handlers' or safety net of 'crisis managers'. 
 
Ron Paul is every bureaucrat's nightmare, and every crony capitalist's nemesis, as he threatens to derail the twin Social Welfare/Corporate Warfare-Welfare Machine that has been draining the life out of the American economy for so long.  Alone among all the Presidential contenders, the is proposing ACTUAL budget cuts- not merely the sleight of hand 'cuts' that only reduce the rate of growth, and in many cases don't take place until 5, 10 or more years into the future (in the altered reality of Washington that = NEVER!). Ron Paul, alone among the contenders proposes REAL regulatory reform, and not the phony reform that allows lobbying mega-corporations to 'buy up' regulations (and regulators!) in order to squeeze consumers and the American taxpayers even tighter. Finally, Ron Paul threatens the Military  Industrial Complex, who, through a combination of scare tactics, a rigged contract bidding system and crony capitalist lobbying, maintain a 'perpetual warfare' state against a vague and ever-shifting enemy. This profitable swindle has enriched the coffers of the very few, while actually weakening America's REAL defense by expending Blood and Treasure abroad in never-ending and wasteful adventurist follies.


What the Crony Capitalists, and their proxies in both wings of the Washington MONEY party (along with their surrogates in the media) are most afraid of the American people seeing clearly for the first time how big business, hand in hand with big government, are raping our rights and freedoms, looting our economy, and turning most Americans into virtual wage-slaves, unable to achieve the American Dream when they are shackled to strategy of mere subsistence.


Ron Paul represents REAL change- and that SCARES those who profit from the corrupt status quo!

Michelle Bachmann- Muslim Hater or Political Opportunist?

On 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'on Friday night, Presidential Candidate Ron Paul was asked his opinion on each of his GOP opponents. He said Mitt Romney was 'a nice guy', Newt Gingrich 'should  run for Speaker of the House', and that John Huntsman was 'a good diplomat' and 'a thoughtful person'. But many people are talking about his opinion that Michelle Bachmann 'doesn't like Muslims, she hates Muslims'.

Maybe Michelle Bachmann doesn't 'Hate Muslims', or maybe she does. But the real question is: do people like her,  Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum (among many others) in reality LOVE to STIR UP hatred TOWARDS Muslims. These are the same people that decry President Obama for stirring up 'Class Warfare' for political purposes, yet they stir up hatred of Muslims for their OWN political purposes! What did Ron Paul call that? Oh yeah... Serial Hypocrisy. Here in America today we now hear the loud beating of the same tone-deaf tin-drum of war that the Neo-Con and Liberal Progressives LOVE to bang on, as it  deflects blame and attention from the lousy job they are BOTH doing, as well as helping them to consolidate power by taking away our Liberties (and our MONEY!) allowing Big Government to ' keep us safe' from those evil ______ (Insert Target Group Here).

This is an old (but effective!) Propaganda tactic that always works well with that group of people in a society who can't or won't use their OWN critical thinking skills, and abrogate that responsibility to the pundits, the party or their favorite spewer of propaganda on Radio or TV. This tactic relies on the emotionalism of those hearing the hateful message, and the resulting suspension of debate, as ANYONE who disagrees with them MUST, of course, hate America, apple pie and Chevrolet! It is truly astonishing (and more than a little bit frightening) to see otherwise rational people automatically go into mental DEFCON 4 whenever anyone merely questions any aspect of their fragile world view. It used to be that we Americans welcomed open debate as a healthy sign of our democratic Republic. Apparently, we aren't so 'democratic' anymore, and that means we are in danger of LOSING our Republic to those who put power, money an demogoguery ahead of our basic Constitutional Rights and Liberties.

The onslaught of 'Hit Pieces' attacking Ron Paul begins! this anonymous piece of trash in 'Conservative Byte' is just a preview of the type of propagandistic and baseless 'hit pieces' that will now pop up due to Ron Paul's surging popularity. I guess when you can't argue on the merits or the issues, slanderous, unfounded and anonymous attacks are all you have left...


Conservative Byte.... Who is the Cowardly yellow journalist that wrote this piece of tripe filled with unfounded rumours, misleading assertions, faulty conclusions and outright lies? I mean, if you're going to write a slanderous hit piece, at least TRY to get your facts the APPEARANCE of being straight! Unsigned slams like this only tend to debase the work of every writer on this site. Have the courage to stand by your unfounded mudslinging, instead of hiding behind the anonymous banner of the entire site.


I won't waste time refuting any of the scurrilous allegations you asserted, as they have been totally debunked time and time again. Every time Ron Paul starts to get some traction (or is actually WINNING, as he is in Iowa), some hack (or many pseudo-journalists) dredge up this meme in order to try to 'scare' voters into not even considering him. Putting aside the fact that there has NEVER been one video, audio or written piece by Ron Paul to support any allegation of 'racism' (or anti-semitism as well- oops! Spoiler alert on your NEXT unfounded attack piece!), even his opponents will tell you Ron Paul is one of the nicest, most open-minded people you will ever meet. Attacks like this sorry piece of filth only serve to denigrate the writer- except in the minds of those too feeble to think for themselves, or those so blinded by ideology that they react in a hateful, knee-jerk manner to anyone who challenges their limited and divisive world view.


I suggest that you disavow this article immediately, and discontinue this cheap and hateful method of demagoguery, since you not only anger ROn Paul supporters, but you also insult the intelligence of even those who disagree with him. Baseless and propagandistic attacks are usually the last bullet left in the gun of a desperate and morally bankrupt person. You are only hurting yourself and your website's reputation by allowing this type of foolish and hateful propaganda to be spread through it.


Stop this nonsense and talk about the REAL issues that affect America and Americans.  The tactic of tearing others down only results in the weakening of America by crowding out valuable and productive discourse. Even if you vehemently oppose Ron Paul, you have to logically agree that he offers an thoughtful alternative to the mindless lockstep ideas of so many others in all areas of American political thought.

TIME Magazine's Squatter of the Year Award

TIME Magazine, in their annual propaganda issue- er... 'Person Of The Year' Issue, has named 'The Protester' as their choice as the most influential individual of the last 12 months. While it is hard to disagree with the choice of the brave individuals in the Middle East and elsewhere who have stood up against tyrannical dictators by risking their very lives, TIME Magazine does a brave disservice to these courageous men and women by conflating their bold efforts with the largely unfocused, disorganized and ultimately ineffective 'Occupy Wall Street' protesters here in the United States. The OWS Protesters perhaps risked their lives by creating many unsanitary and potentially hazardous conditions for themselves, but to equate protesting torture, execution and subjugation by your government with complaining about your student loans, whining about others being richer than you are, as well as  'Climate Change', Animal rights and heaven knows what else is insulting to the very nature of the valid human rights protests in other countries. 


While the OWS protests started with some very basic and arguably sound issues, such as the failure to prosecute ANYONE responsible for the Financial Collapse of 2007-08, and the oversize influence of the corrupt Financial industry, it's unfocused nature has simultaneously allowed it to  devolve into the twin-headed monster of both an anti-capitalist protest, and it's capture as a vehicle for both the Democratic National Committee and the Obama Presidential Campaign to advance their Class-Warfare theme for 2012. Moreover, the OWS protests' failure to even QUESTION- let alone focus on- Government's role in the current crisis, let alone the corruption stretching from Capitol Hill and the White house through K-Street directly to Wall Street undermines and bankrupts and Moral or logical high ground the protesters may have tried to claim. As Napoleon the Pig said in Orwell's 'Animal Farm'- "All animals are created equal- some are just more equal than others". TIME seems to have adopted this theme as their template for reporting on the OWS protests! 


Another of Orwell's books '1984' accurately defines the media reportage on this 'protest', as the 'Doublespeak' on the reporting of the unruly, unlawful and generally confused OWS protests seems to be using a wholly different criteria than that used by most outlets for the orderly, law-abiding and focused Tea Party protests in 2007-2010. Many of the 'People's Microphone' tactics seem to eerily echo the 'Two Minutes Hate' tactic that Big Brother used to channel public outrage into 'acceptable' outlets, while the early Tea Party Protests were quite egalitarian in allowing anybody and everybody to have their say, even if their was disagreement with a particular viewpoint.  Of course, the label 'Tea Party' has become somewhat muddled, as Big-Money GOP interests have insinuated many Neo-Con 'Wolf' Organizations in Tea Party 'Sheep' clothing since the 2010 elections, and many supposed 'Tea Party' events now more resemble GOP fundraisers and Party-Line echo chambers than the original open-mic Tea Parties of the early days. 


Giving credit where credit is due, the DNC moved more swiftly and efficiently in it's infiltration (and instigation of) many OWS protests than the GOP Elites did in their attempted co-option of the Tea Party. It is truly contemptible, and unbelievably transparent the way the White House and the DNC have used the OWS protests to further their agenda, taking an amorphous and unfocused protest and seemingly 'channeling' their message of class warfare, Government entitlements and hatred of the Capitalist system as the 'face' of this movement. The pliant Progressive media also seems to be marching to the Progressive drum circle beat in eerily pushing the same 'talking points' propaganda themes about OWS in unison. More troubling, however, is their deliberate ignoring of the darker side of these protests- the disregard of private property rights, the open flaunting of public laws regarding protests, public health and even rape, robbery and illegal substance abuse. 

Everything the Progressive media (unfairly) accused the Tea Party protesters of has unfortunately been the hallmark of many of the OWS protests. Many of the incidents of racism, violence against women, incitement to violence and other heinous things at the OWS protests that the Media were NEVER able to find evidence of at the Tea Party gatherings (though not for lack of trying or even fabricating!) were on open display at many OWS gatherings,(But curiously were ignored or downplayed in reporting!). In many cases, if you look in-depth at the reportage of the OWS protests, the terminology, optics and tone used by the sympathetic media types were similar to the coverage of a 'garden party' or an ice cream social. Coincidentally, while there were some incidents of Police over-reaction to protesters, many of the 'incidents' of 'police brutality' were a direct result of the tactics of provoking such incidents by protesters who took 'classes and instruction from groups like the Marxist 'Working  Families Party' who actually recruited, trained and paid many of the protesters.

When TIME Magazine refused to even ACKNOWLEDGE the Tea Party protester as one of their 'top stories of the year' in 2009 it was flabbergasting, as the Tea Party Movement turned out to be one of the largest populist political movements in the last 50 years! Of course, when they even covered it at all during that year, it was through the filter of a progressive East-Coast Media elite viewpoint, where massive anti-government protests in 'flyover country' are viewed as mere distractions, while smaller protests for the 'correct reasons' are magnified and shouted from the rooftops of their penthouse coktail parties on Manhattan's upper east side. So it is no surprise that TIME now overemphasizes what is actually a smaller, less focused and more 'astroturfed' (as Nancy Pelosi would say) protest movement as it's 'Person Of The Year'. One thing you can say about TIME Magazine and much of the insular Establishment Progressive Media: they certainly ARE consistent- in their biases.

It is no surprise to anyone except the true believers in the Progressive cause that the readership and confidence (if any) in 'Old' Mdia such as TIME Magazine continues to plummet, as their increasingly insular and warped world view is rejected by those with even a minimum of critical thinking ability. With every article published, and every misguided analysis, it would seem that TIME has adopted as their motto "Who are you going to believe, US, or your own lyin' eyes?"

The NEW Media Tactic to Marginalize Ron Paul

In this piece by Gerald F. Seib in the Wall Street Journal, the media unveils it's newest tactic to combat the continuing growth in popularity of Ron Paul's Presidential Campaign. Since the policy of ignoring him completely failed, then the tactic of dismissing him and his supporters as a 'fringe movement' has been eclipsed by his mainstream successes, the MONEY Party elites and their toadies in the corporate media are now attempting to marginalize Ron Paul and his supporters by backhandedly 'accepting' his successes, while relegating him to a 'spoiler' role.


In his article, Mr. Seib still manages to hit all the major GOP Establishment 'talking points' to minimize and demean Ron Paul and his supporters. However,  in what now appears to the new strategy of 'damning with faint praise' has been passed around for mass consumption (since the previous strategy of totally ignoring him has proven unworkable, and his supposed 'ceiling' of support has moved higher- first it was 5%, then 10%, then 15%). Now, it seems, Ron Paul doesn't have 'supporters' like other candidates, he has 'followers'- so you can isolate and mock them as if they are not expressing their Right to support a candidate like every other American. He is a 'spoiler' and not a 'contender'- since he 'spoils' the establishment's strategy of putting in yet another corporate, big-government shill like Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc.. When other candidates (insincerely) advocate 'small government', it is praised- with Ron Paul, it's a 'Gospel of small government and hard money'- as if this is some 'cult' idea, not actually what mainstream America identifies with- as Mr. Seib hypocritically  points out later in the very same article! If Ron Paul wins Iowa, it's not a 'win', but an 'inconclusive outcome', 'muddying the waters' and a 'boon to Romney'. Kind of strange how a loss by a candidate who has spent a lot of money is a 'boon', and a win by a media and establishment underdog is not actually a 'win'!


Later in the article, Mr. Seib states:  "If Mr. Paul really exceeds expectations in Iowa, that also might set the stage for him to break away from the GOP down the road and mount an independent presidential run. After all, he ran once before as a Libertarian Party candidate, in 1988." Really? Whose expectations? The Media Pundits? The Party Establishment? Surely not the 'expectations' of the electorate, since we have yet to cast the first ballot, and the process is designed to vet candidates, not handicap it like a horse race. Because many reputable and respected news outlets, some nationally but many INSIDE Iowa are now saying that Ron Paul has the most support in both breadth and depth, the best organization and the best chance of winning, most GOP Party apparatchiks and their surrogates in the Media will now continue to bring up the despicably crass propaganda theme of a Ron Paul 'possible third-party run'- in the hopes of dissuading undecided primary voters and caucus-goers, and soft supporters of other candidates from voting for Paul by unfairly smearing his consistently Conservative Republican reputation. This tactic, which includes calling him a (Big 'L') 'Libertarian' instead of a REPUBLICAN as much as possible, is clearly a media-driven theme, as it totally discounts the fact that Ron Paul is a long-time elected REPUBLICAN who is in the Top Tier of candidates in most reputable polls, and actually has a shot at winning the nomination (highlighting another tactic of constantly calling him a 'long-shot' and always saying 'but of course he has NO CHANCE of winning').


Constantly citing Polls that show his 'support is primarily among young people' is another propaganda tactic of trying to marginalize him. Disregarding the fact that Polls can be easily manipulated in numerous ways (and usually ARE), even by these flawed means of measuring support Ron Paul surely DOES attract a large number of young people. But the propagandistic pundits and selectively deceptive polls conveniently fail to mention he also attracts a lot of middle-aged, retiree and young adult supporters as well as Students and new, young voters. More over, Ron Paul- more than ANY other GOP contender- attracts overwhelmingly more independents and even DEMOCRAT supporters than any of his competitors! That fact alone- if it applied to any of the other GOP candidates-  would have ANY of his rivals being declared by the media and the party as the odds-on favorite to win the nomination and beat Obama. But of course, it's 'Ron Paul', who isn't in the pockets of the K-Street Lobbyists and the Goldman Sachs Mafiosos who suck up Government money and power like mother's milk! So instead, it's called an 'abberation', and thus makes him 'less Republican'.


No, Ron Paul is NOT the 'Wild Card' in the race as Mr. Seib painfully tries to assert... He is actually the Republican Party's 'Ace-In-The-Hole'- if they truly wish to defeat Barack Obama. Compared to Ron Paul, his broad and deep support base, and his record of consistently Conservative positions, the other candidates are merely flawed contenders with a strong but limited appeal. Most importantly, the GOP Leadership seems to want to ignore the fact that the DNC and the Obama Campaign will have a field day tearing Gingrich, Romney and the others to shreds in the General Election- simply by using their own words and record to do so. 


It's time for the GOP Leadership and the Media to stop treating Ron Paul and his supporters as the pariahs of the GOP. Remember in 1976 and 1980? The Republican establishment and the media all treated Ronald Reagan and his supporters EXACTLY the way Ron Paul and HIS supporters are being treated now. Remember how THAT turned out? The 'washed-up actor' and his 'band of fringe conservatives' won the election by the biggest landslide in modern American political history. Whether The GOP Elites and the media like it or not, Ron Paul and his supporters represent the future of the Republican Party. He alone brings new and youthful (and middle age and retiree) blood back into the party. He does that by returning to the basic policies and ideals of small-government and individual liberties that USED to define Republicanism. The American people are also realizing that Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who will truly turn this country away from the corporatist corruption that has insinuated itself into the core of BOTH parties.


Republicans now have a choice: reinvigorate the party with a return to it's Core Principles that Ron Paul espouses, or go the way of the Whig Party, which (after dominating politics for decades) decided it would ignore it's grass roots supporters, discard it's core principles and attempt to impose it's 'preferred' candidates upon the electorate in 1856 in a desperate attempt to maintain it's power in Washington. By 1860, the once-dominant Whig Party was gone... Replaced by the upstart and grass-roots responsive- REPUBLICAN PARTY! Ron Paul is pointing the way to a new era, not only for the Republican Party, but for ALL Americans! It is time to cast off the jaundiced eyepiece of the corporate media, ignore the sour siren's song of the corrupt and morally bankrupt politics of the past, and to embrace a return to the basic principles and policies that made America the Greatest Country on Earth. It is time to elect President Ron Paul.
